same problem I have no plugins or mods. Followed instructions properly and it won't let me login on the /install/upgrade.php page.
try this by changing your browser..........
Okay well I guess my problem was a different one but I solved it.
I have multiple domain names pointing to the same IP and I was trying an IP address and my hosting account's primary domain name when typing the upgrade.php path into the browser. Instead I needed to type in the domain name I told mybb to use as the root directory when I initially installed it the first time. So I typed that into the browser and my login worked.
