Is there a way to disable the voting feature on threads?

OH, and one more question.
We changed our layout, and made it so when a user posts, it shows their stats, and avatar up above their post. With his style, the avatar shrinks. Is there a way to make it go back to normal size, but still keep the same layout?
Settings > Show Thread Options > Maximum Avatar Dimensions in Posts
