Full Version: Thumbnails/attachments problem

First, I'm a new myBB user.

The URL for the site is:

http://www.rowdyalley.com/talker/

I've browsed the forums, and can't seem to find anything that helps with the problem I'm having with attachments.

I've changed setting to display thumbnails, but nothing appears when an image (jpg) is attached, just the anchor area.

I know the attachment is being uploaded, and the thumbnail is being created (I see them in the folder), it just refuses to display.

A secondary problem is that the attachment itself refuses to display once the anchor area is clicked. attachment.php launches in a new window, but I just get a couple of odd characters rather than the image.

myBB V 1.4.1
php 5.2.5
GD is installed

Thanks for any help with this.

Jonathan
Your host is forcing ads to display, so it is affecting the image output. I suggest choosing another host which does not have advertisements.

OK, that's the problem with the attachment page (I can work around that I think), but why does the thumbnail not appear on the post?

I should add that other images on the system, and avatars uploaded to the system display fine. It's only the thumbnail image of an uploaded attachment that I am having difficulty with.

It's for the same reason. For both attachments and thumbnails, PHP outputs it through the script.
