I am wanting to convert all my forums to MyBB, especially now since 1.4 is so good, but the lack of a trash can feature kinda stalls me even now.

Almost all the other forum scripts have this feature, and it's very nice and handy incase a topic or post is accidentally deleted, and its nice just to have over all.

Are the mybb devs ever going to implement this feature into mybb?

I'm not sure if a trash can will be included in any future releases. However, there is plugin that offers the function, which can be downloaded from:

I know you all don't owe any explanation, but is there a reason why you all don't think a trash can would be a good idea?

Because there is already a plugin for it, and you can easily create a custom moderator tool to move posts / threads to a specified forum.
