my forum currently runs on 4.x. i want to upgrade to 5.

this is a really newbie questions, a patient responce would be much appreciated.


basically, i'm not sure how to ugrade it.

do i need to

make a back up (which gives me a huge text file, with sql code)
create a 5.x database
and run the code that i got from my backup file?

if this is correct, then waht steps do i take on the forum, to change the connection string?
