Just rename the folder and edit the settings in the admin cp > configuration > settings > general configuration pages.
Then you need to change the settings in the inc/settings.php for your cookie settings. Then you need to change them in the admin cp so you don't lose the settings.
It isn't recommended to edit the settings.php file directly.
