I have changed the portal.php to index.php and the original index.php page to forum.php. It is working fine, except for one problem.
The navbit for the forum home is pointing to index.php but I would like to change it to point to forum.php I have searched through all the templates and setting but was unable to find any way to edit it. How can I change this?

I found the problem. I was searching for something in the settings, but it's set in global.php on line 494. I guess I should have looked deeper first.
