I would find the flashing usernames very annoying after a while!
He has all the anchors as flashing ...totally annoying. Other than that it looks good though.
My Eyes, they hurt! Why make them flash, the threads, the usernames, and others. I think users can read them without the flashing effect.
I only looked at the "front page" and saw the flashing usernames, I've just looked again in depth...SHEESH....That flashing is way over top!!

It's very hard to read links when they keep flashing.
The colours are too bright, and there are way too many effects all over the place (the flashing thread titles is just ridiculous). It seems like you just put a bunch of things together without really considering how it would look in the end. You need to restrain yourself and practice some taste so that your changes to the software improve it, not detract from it.
