Need some help getting to the installer screens. I put this on the Linux server and I keep getting the 404 error, can not find my forum/install folder. Can anyone help?

make sure your using the correct upper and lower case,

http://yourdomain.com/forumfolder/install/

Being that I am totally new at setting up a forum, can anyone give me some help? With using Host My Site, am I suppose to set up the MySQL through MyBB or with the Server? And would that fix my problem with not being able to get to the install screens?

Where should your files be??

first try ..http://www.yourdomain.com/forum

see if you get the not installed error...

> if you do goto http//www.yourdomain.com/forum/install...if u still get the 404 it means u did not upload the install folder ...uplod it again

> if u don't get the not installed error .. it means u did not upload the whole thing properly...do it again

sorry if this sounds very basic but most of the times the answer usually is

What if he didn't upload them to /forum/ ?? Not everybody does.

When I type in the www.yourdomain.com/forum I get the 404 as well...My domain is running Apache/2.2.3 (Red Hat) Server at Port 80 would that have anything to do with the 404?

I shall ask again, where did you upload your files?? What folder??

Are you sure you didn't upload your files to Http://www.yourdomain.com/upload/forum/?

oki why dnt you share you url where you have uploaded the file........
