I searched this forum wasn't sure if this has been brought up before. But in the admin cp, you have a notification that already shows the updates. What about an update button that does the new updates automatically, downloads and installs the new update from this site. Automatically installs it, hassle free.

I'm a noive at this and sql and this would be a great Godsend. It would keep the board updated constantly especially when security patches are required in any future versions.

So hopefully this has been considered, if not than it sure would be welcomed by this forum novice.

Unfortunatly, this is impossible for things like files and such. SQL downloads are fine, but that isn't usually whats patched

Well, I reckon I had to ask.

Have .txt files of the php code stored on this site. Open a connection using fopen or CURL (fopen is disabled on some servers) and then we-write the file as a .php file.

EDIT: I'll make this a plugin/mod if people want. I think it can do done.
