I wanne use the announcement function in portal.
But some post are so long that also this announcement will be long.
Is there way to show only the first 100 letters from the post.

thread tittle
bla bla bla bla bla bla bla (up to 100 characters) ...... read more.

Sounds like a good idea for a plugin. It can only be done via through a script.
