Hey folks, just two small questions for the brainy ones here, I'm afraid I count as a dumb one.

1 - I'd like to add a custom Rules page to my forums, and have discovered two ways of doing this...

1. To create all the required files manually, as explained in a tutoial I believe is located somewhere on the board...
   
2. To use a Custom Pages mod to add Custom Pages via the Admin CP
   

Which one would you recommend I do?

2 - You know the links at the top, saying 'Search, Member List, Calendar, and Help'? I'd like to add Portal and Rules to that, for member convenience. How do I go about editing that?

Thanks a lot for your help. I searched for similar problems before posting, but I am a n00b, so if I missed out on something and this is a repeat question, then please provide a link to the original topic.

This has been mentioned a lot but I really can't be bothered to search for you.

There's a rules page plugin. Use that. That will add a link where you want.

Add <a href="link to your portal here">Portal</a> in your header template - you can see where the other 4 ones are, add it before those.
