Full Version: Forums being hacked

I thought i should just stick this up here so everyone is aware of what goes on.
I saw a link to this forum today which has been hacked severly.
I know its not a mybb forum but we should be on the lookout and on our toes with this sort of thing.
take a look for yourself, not sure how long it will take for them to put it right again.

never did like phpbb - it's always being hacked it seems like

Hacked again - for the umpteenth time. Now using vBulletin.

Maybe it's nothing to do with the choice of board?
Flaw with server or spyware/keyloggers in admin's computer? Unreliable people having admin cp access, or weak passwords. All these factors come into play, it's not just the board software choice. As long as you do your homework and patch your softwares as new version releas, it's not a lot to do with the board software.

There are many people in the world who are against the field-sports and hunting thing. It's sure possible that one or more of them has taken an objection to some of the content or people you find on sites like that one.
