Full Version: Quick editing post when others are posting concurrently causes duplication

I've only been able to do this once, here, while I was posting in a support thread.

What I did was to post, then quick edit it. Other people posted as I was making my changes. When I finished editing and saved my post, the board reposted my entire (edited) message again to the thread, meaning I had two posts of the same content.

I don't know if it's a fluke or not, as it is kinda hard to reproduce without staging it. Also, I did it with quick edit, not full.
There's no way this is possible. Quick edit does an UPDATE query not a REPLACE/INSERT query.
Well for what it's worth, that's what happened. Also, I was using Google Chrome, which I also noticed doesn't work with the textboxes when editing templates in the Admin CP. Toungue
Which thread was this in? If you refresh the page are both posts there?
It was this post. I already deleted the duplicated post, but it was after SteelD's post down two from mine.
When this happens again, post the link in this thread and don't delete the second post.
If it happens again... tell you what, I'll press the save edit button a few times now and see what happens.

EDIT: I pressed the button about 5 times before it loaded the new version, and it was only there once, even after a refresh.

Well, like I said, people posted after me, while I was editing. That's why it's hard to test if this is a bug or was just a fluke, because you have to stage it.
People have posted after me when I edit Undecided Like Ryan said, the Quick Edit replaces the old content with the new content... so MyBB would be ignoring the PHP if this happened.
