Just wait and see if something makes it work.

I think because there was one star setting for the group and one for the user title, might cause problems choosing which one.

Try deleting all the Member Titles and then re-entering them.

Try rebuilding the usergroups cache (Admin CP --> Tools & Maintenance --> Cache Manager) and the usertitles cache.
