For the Spanish translation, I'm not sure where you can find that.
You're probably going to be on your own with the security and maintenance side of things on this though, as vulnerabilities are found on previous versions and the latest ones address them.
What is it that you don't like about 1.4.x??
As mix said, you'll be on your own with 1.2.x soon... support will end soon, and any security fixes won't be made, so you may be open to an attack.
Using old tech when newer stuff is available is always going to hold you back.
