When attaching images, it'd be great if there were a per image tick setting if it were to be displayed as thumbnail or inline (or even resided to XxX resolution) as opposed to it being a global setting. Even being able to set this as per post would be good enough, but per attachment would be ideal as you could have a bigger one inline, with 4 thumbnails for addition pictures.

Of course this would require the detection of the attachment as an image during new\edit post phase so the extra options could be served\displayed to the user. If too much work, even an extra "upload images" would do, you'd choose that one for inline images, and "add attachments" for thumbnails.

imho this could be done with a plugin...not sure on it's full execution but it doesn't sound impossible being mybb already has an inline or thumbnail option in admincp but it's universal. I bet you could add a column to the attachment table for thumb or inline and display it with that method.

Sadly...you will need to either build this yourself or hire someone. It's very custom and I don't see a lot of call for this from other admins.
