I get this error after downloading the files and uploading the file to my web server.



Now when I added /install at the end of my domain, it goes complete blank, instead of saying "The page cannot be displayed"

You have to go to ./install/index.php
If that has a 404 error you have to make sure the files are in place.

nope, still same problem.

Where is the /install/ folder uploaded.

i had that problem when i first tired to install mybb1.4

are you upgrading or installing for the first time?

I am installing for the first time.

And /install folder is uploaded in my forums folder.

Right, and when you go to /forums/install/index.php, you get a blank page.

Yes, I get white blank page when I type that and I don't know what to do since I can't see anything when that happens.

Hmm, you're right.

Try re-uploading install/index.php

still same problem
