You don't upload the XML file to the FTP
Well you can, then you can access it via the URL, and you can still browse for it from your computer if you upload it... doesn't matter if it is uploaded.
When we try to upload the XML file, it says that there is not theme import, but only after upgrading to 1.4.2, and yes, im sure it was made for 1.4
Tick the box saying ignore version and upload it again. I had to do that even with the Afresh themes which were made for 1.4.
It's still not going through. I even reverted thinking that was the problem. It's not the theme though. I've tried with multiple ones.
Can you attach the theme you're trying to upload?
It's with all themes, not just one.
Are you browsing for the file or calling it via a URL??
Tried both. No matter what you put into the field it returns an error.
Ok just to confirm, you are not trying to import the zip file am I correct?
