I'm currently running an IPB 2.0 unlimited free trial version on my forum. However, I've been tempted to switch to myBB with it's recent Preview Releases. Is there an easy process of switching from IPB and moving the database over to work with myBB?

The only converter for IPB 2.0 is this one http://community.mybboard.net/showthread.php?tid=2755

It worked fine for my site.

You always could convert to RC4 and than update to RC2.
