I just got MyBB and it seems way better than IPB and phpBB. I don't know how to install the portal. I will give you a link to my forum if needed.

Well you have a portal already - ./portal.php. You can install some external portal system if you want (for example Joomla) but this isn't the forum to discuss that AFAIK.

You can just navigate to it in your browser. When you're viewing your forum at index.php, change that to portal.php.

OK, but how can you make it so you'll be taken to portal.php instead of index.php?
