Is there anyway someone can 'get a password' without using PHPmyAdmin? I'm just wondering due to I'm an admin on a forum and I forgot my password and the owner is away so I need the password to hand out moderator positions and what not.
Any ideas?

You could use the "Forgot Password" link?
Any other way would indeed be a breach of privacy. Plus, aren't the password encrypted in the MySQL database anyway?
It is close to impossible to reverse the password hashed in the database. The easiest thing would be to reset the password, and if you search the forum you will find many threads about how to do that through phpMyAdmin or third party plugins.
