Can I install this script on localhost or I must to try on a domain with subdomain?

I take it that by 'this script' you mean MyBB.

I'm working with it on localhost without any problems, although I suspect it depends on what server software and OS you're using.

I'm using Vista with XAMPP installed. I have major trouble getting it to work on localhost/mybb/, however, it works with no problems on designpc/mybb, where "designpc" is the name of my computer here at work...

If you don't know your computer name, (in Windows), go to start -> run and type in "dxdiag"...
