Help! I cannot login to my newly installed MyBB version 1.4.

I can access the forum at my website: http://www.projectplant.org/forums/index.php
and I am the Administrator, but the greeting just says "Hello There, Guest!"

When I attempt to Login with my name and password I am directed back to this same page that says "Hello There, Guest!"

How can I overcome this? Any help would be appreciated.

Your cookie settings are probably incorrect. Can you get into the forum's Admin CP at:

http://www.projectplant.org/forums/admin/index.php

?

Once in go to Configuration > General Configuration.

Cookie domain should be: .projectplant.org
Cookie Path should be: /forums/
Cookie Prefix: can be blank

Let me know if this works.

Open ./inc/settings.php

Make sure your cookie domain is .projectplant.org and your cookie path is /forums/

Save that file and then you can log into the ACP - then you must change that data again in ACP > Configuration > General Configuration > and then edit the cookie settings again.
