I can't seem to work out how to install a banner on the forum. Is there an input field for an image, or an edit in the header template?
If in the header, how can I change it, and what do I need to insert?
In admincp.....go to themes& templates & then "edit theme"....the option for inserting a logo is there.
You can always put it through editing your header template too, but as it seems, you should better do it from that given path to avoid complications.

Next question. How do I center it?
In the header template find the header code and put <div align="center"> before it and </div> after it.
