Does anyone know how to remove the thread rating option completely?
It just puts a column in my forum that I dont want.
Edit the forum in the admin control panel, untick "Yes, allow threads to be rated" under "Miscellaneous Options". This will get rid of the column.
IMO there should be a way to just disable it altogether.

Plenty of reasons for/against it though. I think it's probably best to leave it as a forum-option, rather than a global board-option... there may be some instances where you might like to have a rating on things.

Such as here at myBB, the "User-Submitted Tutorials" would be a good example.
One big feature I would like would be able to edit the same setting for all forums on one page. So you can just go down and tick or untick the box to allow it for every forum on one page rather than having to go into each and every forum and do it.
Sounds good actually... "Global Forum Options". Very good Toungue

I was surprised myBB missed out a "Forum Permissions" option. I use this alot in IPB. Basically it is one page which lists usergroup permissions for each forum - see http://img137.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fpipbha9.jpg.

And something that is dreadfully missing that I probably would pay to get: permissions tree (see http://img205.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fpipb2yh2.jpg). You select a member group, and then you can see what their permissions are in an instant.

Yeah that's what I mean, but have something like that for all settings, that would be so much easier.
There is no 'Miscellaneous Options' in the admin for forum settings.
Does anyone know how to remove this column completely? It looks kinda ugly if its not being used. Pointless Sad
You can remove the option to rate in the settings for each individual forum.

You can just remove the code for the column - should be in one of the forum display templates but I can't check right now.
