It's so strange but I don't know why it happened. A few days ago, one admin report me about him lost his admin permission. His account was set to normal member. I checked admin log but there was no log about that. And today, I lost my admin permission, similiar above. I don't understand that I'm the first user, and super admin, why I lost my admin permission. I have to use phpmyadmin to change my group back to admin.
Did you create any "group promotions"?

This happened to me a couple of days ago, my supper admin account reverted to normal user.
Nothing in the logs about it and no group promotions are in effect

No I have no need for the feature, I promote people manually if needed.

Neither did I. I didn't use that feature. I'm sure no one modified database directly.
Can you also check your mybb_banned table. Are any of your UIDs somehow in the banned table?
No, there are only UIDs who was banned (not me,...)
