I did a search on: the wiki, the forums, google and read the index.php file and few "modules" in the ./admin/modules folder and still don't understand the modules system. I'm trying to figure out how do I add a basic module page in my administration panel. I tried copying and pasting the credits file then accessing it via my file name: module=home/modex nothing happened, just ended up on dashboard. All support possible is needed.

I don't want a plugin, how come you can't built onto the modules in the acp?
You need to take a look at the plugin file to understand how it works.
Then how does the other modules work? I see no individual plugin for them.
Okay now I see how it works. Each module in the administration has a module_meta.php file. If your module isn't in the array then it will set it to the default module. I get it now. Thanks.
