Please can some explain when replies from the same user are automatically merged into a single post rather than displayed each as new posts/replies?
I want 6 separate replies to a single message. I want users to then be able to reply to each of my replies.

e.g.

Introduction Instructions (Thread)

1. Question 1 (Reply Post)
   
2. Question 2 (Reply Post)
   
3. Question 3 (Reply Post)

ACP > Configuration > Posting > find the merge options.

Post Merge Time: This is the time limit for posts being merged.

Merge Forums to Ignore: Forums to disable the post merge.

Merge User Groups to Ignore: Usergroups that aren't affected by post merging.

Thanks Matt, FYI I did try to figure this out from the wiki and forums - searched for Merge Reply - there is a lot of other occurrences of the word merge. Great Help.

I personally would recommend you make it so admins, super mods, and mods are not affected by the merge - so put 4,3,6 in the option for usergroups to ignore. This is just a personal preference but it makes sense that forum staff can bypass it.
