I notice that both on the home page of myBB and of my own bulletin board there is a message that says, "Forum locked." What does this mean?

It shows the icon which is shown if the forum is closed to posting. To set a forum as closed, go to
Admin CP --> Forums & Posts --> *Edit a forum* --> Uncheck "Forum is Open?"
