I just moved my board from my old server to my new one.
Before the move, i closed the board *settings .. then i backed up my db.

Moved the board, went well.. DNS works.. done!

Now 1 issue, no matter what i do with the Board Online / Offline setting, the board will not open. Its stuck on closed.

Any ideas why?

Did you CHMOD inc/settings.php to 666? Whilst you're there, make sure the other directories have correct write permissions.

There is no # setting only this

Check them all? ..LOL

666 is the same as read+write for everyone - try that.

As for writable files, (777), it's read+write+execute for everyone.

ok zinga, i did it and it worked.

I set the proper permissions on uploads/ medals and avatars

Are there any other files or folder we should check?

./inc/config.php = 666
./inc/settings.php = 666
./admin/backups/ = 777
./cache/ = 777
./cache/themes/ = 777
./inc/languages/english/all files = 666
./inc/languages/english/admin/all files = 666
./uploads/ = 777
./uploads/avatars/ = 777
