Having problems getting MyBB working.

brand new to this and MySQL.

Downloaded MYSQL and installed as default. Installed PHP and installed MyBB.

when I run http://mydomain/forum/install/index.php i get the following results

Requirements
PHP Version: 5.2.6
Supported DB Extensions: None

Supported Translation Extensions: iconv
PHP XML Extensions: Installed
Configuration File Writable: Writable
Settings File Writable: Writable
Cache Directory Writable: Writable
File Uploads Directory Writable: Writable
Avatar Uploads Directory Writable: Writable

What do I need to do to get it to see a Supported DB extension

I have no Idea in this.
