In setting up my forum, I changed the time setting to GMT -5.0 hours which is what I need in the Eastern Time Zone of the U.S.

What I have found is that I now have two different times that display when I look at my forum:

a. When I have not logged into the forum, the time shows correctly
at GMT -5.0 hours.

b. After I log into the forum, the time reverts to GMT.

Is this normal? Do I need to do something to my user settings as well?

ACP > Configuration > Date and Time Formats > Default Timezone Offset > this will set the offset for guests and new users. I assume that once you change it in your suer CP, this setting has no effect.
