Hi. I have problems with the installation of new mybb. Since that I migrates my old phpbb forum to Mybb all attachments weigh 1 kb. The process of migration seems successful but I have this big problem. Here I leave all the information necessary for they can help me Smile

Quote:Old Forum System: Phpbb 3
Merge to: Mybb 1.4
Merge System used: 1.4 Beta 2

Server info:

Php Version: 5.2.6
Mysql Version: 5.0.51b
Apache: 2.28

The migration is performed on a local from my pc. The setup is correct because all other information has been transferred correctly (posts, users, permissions, forums). In the final stage reads:

Import phpBB 3 Attachments

Please input the link to your phpBB 3 installation. This should be the url you use to access your phpBB 3 forum:

The process can't point the url from localhost (for example http://localhost/phpbb3) so I write the ip of my pc including the directory where the installation of phpbb3. I think that here I always I commit the error:

I write this: (my ip + folder)

When I start the process all seems to go well...

Something I'm doing wrong, but didn't know that. Help please! Huh. Thanks in advance!. Best regards.
There is no such IP with asterisks. You need to use the real internet IP address of the computer/server your forum is being hosted on (http://ipchicken.com/) and make sure your router has the necessary ports open to be able to access it from that IP (port 80, normally)
No buddy. I wrote the asterisks only for the screenshot Toungue. I think that I'm pointing the wrong path. Any suggestions?

Hi Ryan, thanks for your reply. The port 80 is open and the ip is correct. But the startup file transfer continues with any route. For example, I write

190.16.2.254/phpbb , or
190.16.2.254/lol , or
190.16.2.254/xxxx , or
190.16.2.254/* (any route)

And the transfer start:

'm Doing something wrong. Take the information from the attachments from the database but does not transfer the attachments files of the phpbb folder to the Mybb folder. You understand me?.
The system will copy new files to the upload folder of mybb but with a size of 1 kb.

I'm using my computer for the process. I use the " Appserv"application to emulate a server. The process can't do it remotely because it is very difficult. I have a very heavy database. For example my attachment folder size 5 GB.
It checks for the admin directory i.e. 190.16.2.254/phpbb/adm and if that exists then it continues. I'm not sure why it would be continuing even if /adm didn't exist. It might be a problem with the way you've setup your apache configuration?
Thanks again Ryan. I doubt it, but I'll check the configuration. Everything would be easier if the system would accept "localhost" as URL Toungue. Ie http://localhost/phpbb/adm . I would be happy with that configuration hahaha. This is causing me a big headache. I hope to find some alternative

The problem is PHP won't work with "localhost" cURL/file_get_content/fsok requests - That's the whole reason why I had to implement this warning procedures
Oh, I understand. So, Do you suggest to me?. I have a big community with more than 35.000 users and is imminent transfer the site to Mybb system for internal reasons in our team. I'm willing to pay some money via paypal to those who help me solve this problem. Anyone interested can send me a PM
Well I can take a closer look at it when I get home - Provide me with the relevant details (ftp, mysql, admin access to the forum) and I can probably take a look
