I don't see any problems with your site in IE8 - if I remember right, I read somewhere that IE7 has a problem defining charsets, which leads to this problem.
It won't cause any user problems though, so it's safe to use... ish...
Chrome would be a bad idea.
It's not compatible with the WYSIWYG template editor.
Altho he could use Opera or Safari.

Yeah I use Chrome, I should have been a bit clearer
FireFox and Opera are probably the best browsers... remember Chrome is
still in beta though so who knows what the proper release will be like.
