I have a 1.4.2. myBB forum and yesterday I've discovered a virus/spyware on my forum which was removed by my hosting support. But now all links on threads and posts are unavailable (404 error). I've contacted my host and they've told me that I should restore my htaccess file. I don't have it and I don't know is it always the same no matter what version of forum is it? Can I upgrade my forum to 1.4.3. or should I first restore htaccess? If I should where can I find it?

You can find the default htaccess file in the 1.4.2 download pack here. Also, is it showing normal URLs (forumdisplay.php?fid=2) or SEO (thread-1.html)??

SEO and I have SEO plugin turned on.

EDIT: Actually I have SE friendly URLs disabled, instead I use SEO plugin. Why do you ask?

Well, that might be what's causing the 404 errors.
