I have no idea what is happening, but my forums seem to be going beserk.

The index loads fine, but when you try to navigate to a new page, a 404 Error will load and then the rest of the page will load, with the error at the top.

ie:

Quote:Not Found
The requested URL /showthread.php?tid=481 was not found on this server.

Apache Server at forums.brisingr.net Port 80

I thought maybe some files had gotten messed up and realized that I needed to update the software to the latest release, so I did, but I'm still getting the error.

Is this a problem with myBB or my host? I haven't seen it before, someone please help!

Unfortunately, there isn't a solution in that topic... but try and contact your host to see what the actual problem is. Do you have any plugins installed? E.g., SEO...

I think there was sort of a solution... what folders have you CHMODd to 777??

Fixed it.

_Andrew helped me over PM. For future reference, this is what he instructed me to do:

Quote:you need to delete random htaccess files and delete php files with random number filenames.

these are in any directory CHMOD'ed 777
