I installed the Board Messages plugin and it works in my admin cp but nothing shows on my forum. Any ideas? I am running the latest version of mybb.

Do you modificated template?

No. Template is the same. I use the default. The only difference is the header image and the link on the header image which redirects to my website's blog.

Be sure to select the message from within the governing program in the control panel
