Hmmm a member from my site noticed today Yahoo! was viewing a thread that was in a hidden forum for guests. But I tried logging out and try to access it and I could not view the thread :/

No, most probably it isn't. As far as I know, If it is set to deny guest access then they won't access it, even if search engine spiders were set to index it.
Depends on the bot's usergroup. Yahoo is set to guests and guests are NOT allowed to see that forum. I checked the forum as guest and I could not access it.
The who's online page said "Yahoo! - Viewing thread blablalba" (this thread is in a hidden forum for guests)
it could be trying to look at it but not seeing it ?
Then the online list should say "Viewing no permissions page"
I think the fact that it doesn't say it's seeing a no perms page is a bug that is due to be fixed in 1.4.4 but don't quote me on that. But that's all they should see, a no perms page.
