The first hook in that file isn't until line 208. That's well past a lot of useful stuff to hook into. Would it be possible to get something higher up?
I have a plugin that allows certain groups to have a longer edit time and the ajax works easily as hooks are on top but the full edit doesn't have the needed hooks until after the timelimit check.
For now I have custom added a hook but it would be nice not to make core file changes. Please consider.
