im trying to create a new theme. but when i export the xml file and try to re-upload it i get:

The following errors were encountered:

MyBB could not find the theme with the file you uploaded. Please check the file is the correct and is not corrupt.

any ideas?

I ran into the same problem trying to import a theme from a theme site. Never did find out why.

wanting to make my own theme lol

check the cache/themes folder to see if theme set created

did you also upload the images folder for that theme ?

all images for the theme were in /images (no directory just the same as default)

Your theme probably did export correctly, the issue is in the import procedure.

woops, sorry, didn't notice...

so what do i do?

Upload the .xml to your server, and instead of selecting "upload file", select "URL" and write the address to your .xml file in your server
