So basically, what you want is a mod that will automatically turn links into Hyperlinks?
I'm not too sure this actually exists - and it will take some work to complete to get it working for something that doesn't really do much.

Edit: I think he wants a plugin where if you type in
http://mybboard.net, it would automatically get the title of the page and return it...

vB has this either as a feature or plugin, you put in a link and I think it shows whatever is in the <title> tags as the link in the post, is this what you mean??
So for this thread, the link is

Automatic links title from site, so putting the link would show the title...
Or heaven forbid, you have to a little bit more typing...

I'm sure I wouldn't give someone a link without first looking at the page - just grab the title. Providing links like that also help your search engine ranking (or so I'm told).
Exactly, I personally can't see the point in having this where you can just type it out yourself. Sometimes the vB thing turns it into a huge long link which is even longer than the URL itself.
Also, the issue of the server having to perform additional HTTP requests for each link posted. Works very well for choking up your server when a spam bot posts a heap of porn links on a crappy slow server...
