I've tried learning from the web, not successful. I had a look in my local bookshop at about 10, I couldn't see much difference between them but wondered what opinions anyone has. Some had CDs, are these any good??

Any tips or recommendations will be highly appreciated.
One would think they have a sams teach yourself php book. Toungue

Have you tried tizag.com?
I've learned via a combination of PHP & MySQL for Dummies and reading other people's tutorials and code. The book helps because you can take it anywhere, so it helps you memorize the functions. Memorizing functions is essential, or you'll just be wasting your time at php.net trying to find them.
