I want a custom new thread for different areas of my boards.

In other words I have 3 categories which require the new thread to have specific fields in addition to subject.

Also if you know could you please explain how I direct those new threads to the appropriate areas. I want to use the base newthread.php file and add my stuff but there will be 2 separate files one for each area.

well I figured out part of it with the thread description plugin. But I just want to designate it to certain new threads now.

I recommend using prefixes, maybe that's a simple and good solution. For Example, to select additional combo boxes that show prefixes in the topics title, as:

[Tutorial], [Question], [Release], etc...
