How do I restore a database thats been backed up?

I recently encountered a problem(that was my fault) and had to reinstall the board. I had a back-up saved and I want to restore it to this new board. Both MyBB installations were the current version(1.4.4).

Go to phpmyadmin. Click import. Browse your computer for the back-up file and click go.

Ah, I see what the problem was.

You see, I tried something to that effect before, however it just didn't go according to plan, because the backed up database wasn't overwriting the current one. I guess that could be considered strange behavior. At least it was to me. Regardless, I figured out what was wrong through phpmyadmin(which, to be honest, I never knew what it was for. Confused ) But, most of what I needed was fixed. Now, I just need to fix reinstall the themes I had and plugins and such and we'll be good to go.
