I think you're going to have to be a little more specific. I can't read your mind or assume what is wrong.
Do you mean the text area is grey?? If it is, and you're on 1.4.4, you can go to ACP > Home > Preferences > and turn off Codepress.
Yes, the text area is grey and no, I'm on 1.4.3
Upgrade to 1.4.4 (just make sure you read the upgrade instructions carefully first) and then do what Matt suggested in his above post.
Step two asks me to edit the showthread_moderationoptions template.
