I was wondering if it's possible to let MyBB, after doing a scheduled daily backup via the task manager, send those files to a remote ftp location or email address? If not, are there any ways to accomplish this?

I use Goodsync to do this, it's very easy to use. Link: http://www.goodsync.com or you can also get a backup service such as:

http://www.rsyncpalace.com/ or http://www.webbycart.com/backup.htm , they are both really good and they will set everything up for you.

Hope that helps.
Thanks, but I don't think that's what I'm looking for. Goodsync is for backing up local files to remote ftp and the others are also about backup space. I've got the space already.

My MyBB is currently set up to do a scheduled backup of the database every late morning and early evening. I'd like a way to sent those files, in example every midnight, automaticly to a remote ftp location different from the hosting provider I use for hosting MyBB. So basicly I'm looking for a way to automaticly mirror the backup directory from MyBB on a second hosting account.
Why not just transfer the files yourself? Also, I'm currently working on a simple task that will do this, I'll have to get back to you on that though.

I do it myself. But sometimes I'm away for 7 days or more, without an internet connection. I'd like to automate this process for those occasions.

Great to hear you're working on a task, I'll wait patiently Smile
