Hello
Is it possible to make the first post in a new thread editable forever only for thread starter? And only the first post in.
So you want to disable edits everywhere else, but allow the OP to edit the first post??
Yes. At the moment every user has an option to edit their posts in 15min after the post is written. I would like that to stay the same except for the topic/thread starters which should be able to edit their first topics in threads if they are thread starters.
What if they post inapropriate content and then you can't edit it out?

uhhhhhhhhhh pretty sure admins would still be allowed to edit anything
And if an Admin isn't on and it's something serious?

Also, what if someone makes a typo or wants to extend onto their post and they can't edit?

Yeah I do that with 70% of my posts so I'd hate to lose that ability...
So I see you all like this option, but is it possible? Is there a plugin/mod and if there isn't can someone make it?

This modification does exactly what you asked. Wink
Thanx man but... you wrote we have to find this:
else if($mybb->settings['edittimelimit'] != 0 && $post['dateline'] < (TIME_NOW-($mybb->settings['edittimelimit']*60)))

in xmlhttp file, and I've found two exactly the same lines as above in xmlhttp file, should we replace em both or?
