I got a spammer that keeps spamming my board from different IPs every day.
He always posts the same text in the beginning of his threads: [RS]

I tried to search for [RS] " but MyBB says:
"One or more of your search terms were shorter than the minimum length. The minimum search term length is 3 characters."
But the string is 4 characters.


Is there anyway I can search for [RS] ?
Or maybe ban all threads with [RS] in the title?

If you lower the limit of characters needed for a search in ACP > Configuration > Search System > Minimum Search Word Length, maybe set it to 0, you can search for threads with that in the title, and delete them from the search page.

It's odd that they would be basically flagging which posts are theirs like that, though.

Brackets aren't counted as alpanumeric characters, that's why.

Ok, thanks guys! But isn't there a way I can stop threads with the "word" [RS] to get posted?

And/or search for all threads posted by a user and select all of them and delete them?

You can't really stop that being posted I don't think, not by default anyway.

Labrocca has a plugin to delete all the posts of a user - http://www.mybbcentral.com/thread-1727.html - needs a paid subscription to get it.

A simple SQL query could do it too.
