Hello,
I have started v1.4 installation process.
Its a clean installation of the latest version.
After Database Configuration i click next and page loads into... blank page. No error, no messages, just empty page.
Any ideas? Is it due to database privileges install directory permission?
Thank you.

Probably you did not read carefully my post.
It says:
Quote:If after installing MyBB you go to your forum index and you see a blank page, or a page of garbled text
and
Quote:To turn of Gzip, log in to your forum's Admin CP. The Admin CP can be found at "your-forum-directory/admin/", you will need to use the username and password you set up for your Admin account during the MyBB installation

So how can i disable Gzip to my board using admin CP if i did not install the board even, yet?
And by the way, check here my old board working just fine with Gzip enabled: http://moldova.worldcarp.org/forum/index.php
My mistake, indeed I did not read carefully.

Try this thread: http://community.mybboard.net/thread-35161.html

Though it may be worth reading the entire thread before trying things, it seems it has not worked for some.

More info on MySQL version, etc. perhaps..

Well, i'll have to move to that thread i guess. But there are so many solutions that i don't even know which one really works.
The info as you asked: MySQL client version: 4.0.26
Thank you.

I could supply a trusted admin with phpMyAdmin link and username with password to directly check if my sql its all ok and ready.
Anyone with support, SQA or administrator status is trustworthy. Smile

Unfortunately it is 3am and I can't be of much help. Hopefully by the time I wake your problem will have been solved.
